Live Advanced FEES Courses 2024 to Further Your Knowledge

Certified Speech-Language Pathologists may perform endoscopy after documented specialty training in FEES.  SLPs do not require special certification from ASHA or any other entity.  However traditionally, training includes formalized courses of at least 12 hours of lecture and at least 4 hours of hands on trianing. The training would include history, anatomy, indications/contraindications, cranial nerves, examination prep, handing the endoscope, FEES protocol, interventions, interpretation of findings, practice documentation.
