The course will provide comprehensive foundational training for speech language pathologist for diagnosing and managing swallowing disorders through nasoendoscopy. The course provides a path to competency for flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES). Anatomy, physiology, indications/contraindications for FEES, the procedure including equipment, appropriate technique and safety will be provided. Participants will receive hands on training with the endoscope which provides the learner will have practice passing the scope under the supervision of NDoscopy Specialists.  Course size is limited to ensure optimal number of passes.  Learners will gain experience in proper handling of the endoscope, appropriate placement techniques and optimal visualization of the pharynx and larynx. Barr MA, CCC-SLP Nicole is the owner of NDoscopy Dysphagia Specialists, a mobile FEES (flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing) company servicing New York and New Jersey.  Her areas of expertise include dysphagia management and critically complex patients including tracheostomy and mechanical ventilation in a variety of settings including acute care, long term acute, subacute, and skilled nursing.  She is also a Clinical Consultant for Passy-Muir, Inc.
